Born and raised in Vancouver B.C., Kristin never thought she'd be going big time. She acted in several school plays but mostly focused on her schoolwork. Fate came calling her senior year of high school when the casting director of a new TV series, "Edgemont" (2000), sent a fax to her school. They wanted an exotic looking girl to play the part of Laurel. It was her first professional audition and she landed the part. Since then, she continues to star in the Canadian series while filming "Smallville" (2001). Lucky for her, both shows are filmed in Vancouver! In 2002, she became the newest spokesperson for Neutrogena and started an advertising campaign with them.

Kristin has a tight knit group of friends, and, in her spare time, enjoys spending time with them and reading. Because it rains so much in Vancouver, she and her "Smallville" (2001) co-star Allison Mack often swap books or have a Woody Allen marathon.

Stop, take a deep breath, and examine your life. Are you excited about your current career? Are you earning the salary you want or even deserve? What are the benefits to creating your own wealth? First of all you will have freedom to do anything you want, whenever you want. You can pack up your family and take a trip to Europe on a moment’s notice if you want to. You can determine when you will work and when you will take breaks. You have eliminated the obligations to anyone else including a manager that may be a nuisance.

Building your own wealth enables you to leave the corporate world behind. The corporate world can be very rigid in that you have minimal control over your promotion schedule. Most companies have a set promotion schedule and cap off the amount of your salary increases and bonuses. This stifling condition can be a thing of the past.

Along with newfound freedom come increased family time and a life style that is comfortable and relaxed. You will have the security of plenty of money to spend and retire on. You will feel in control of your life and finances. This personal empowerment is amazing and can add new vigor to your mind and body.
Enjoying your wealth sounds amazing, right? Why isn’t everyone a millionaire? Why doesn’t everyone seek out personal empowerment and the security of money? Additional tips to creating your own wealth include:

• Follow the piles of cash. Find people who have successfully created wealth and learn from them. Remember, it’s not only what you know, but who you learn it from. Learn from someone who is more successful then you.

• Learn the tricks of the trade from someone that has actually built wealth and not just written a book about it.

• Forget the past. It does not matter who you are or where you came from. Everyone deserves to be a millionaire.

Gara-Gara Aturan Baru, Google Ancam Cabut Gmail

Jerman, Gara-gara peraturan baru, layanan Gmail bisa jadi akan dicabut dari wilayah Jerman. Peraturan macam apa yang membuat Google alergi?

Google Mail bisa jadi tidak akan tersedia lagi di Jerman. Ini setelah pemerintahan Jerman membuat rancangan peraturan baru tentang data pribadi pengguna telekomunikasi, termasuk internet dan telepon. Dalam peraturan tersebut setiap penyedia layanan harus mengumpulkan dan menyimpan data pribadi dari pengguna mereka. Data itu paling tidak harus tersimpan selama enam bulan.

Aturan itu juga melarang adanya pengguna anonimus, alias yang data aslinya tidak diketahui. Saat ini peraturan tersebut sedang diajukan di Bundestag (parlemen Jerman).

Peter Fleischer, penasehat global bidang privasi Google, dilaporkan menolak peraturan tersebut. Menurut Fleischer, aturan itu akan sangat melukai prinsip-prinsip privasi yang diusung Google.

Seperti dikutip detikINET dari ITWire, Selasa (26/6/2007), Google pada intinya menyatakan siap menarik layanan Google Mail dari Jerman.

Akibat sengketa merek dagang, Google saat ini juga sudah tidak boleh menggunakan nama Gmail di Jerman. Di negara yang pernah terbelah dua itu Google secara resmi memakai nama Google Mail. Hal yang sama dilakukan di Inggris.

(SHE) Sound and Harmony Eclectic

Tersenyum Lagi

SHE merupakan kumpulan dari 7 perempuan dengan latar belakang musik yang berbeda-beda, namun mempunyai keinginan untuk mengemas perbedaan tersebut dalam suatu harmonisasi yang indah. Kalimat tadi juga merupakan terjemahan bebas dari kepanjangan 3 huruf yang mewakili nama grup band asal Bandung ini: Sound and Harmony Eclectic.

SHE terbentuk di tahun 2000 dan pada awal tahun 2005 lalu telah mengeluarkan album pertamanya dengan judul Tentang Aku, Kamu, dan Dia. Di bulan Mei 2007 ini, SHE yang kini beranggotakan Achi (violin), Adisty (drum), Arnie (bas), Melly (lead vocal), Riry (gitar akustik), Qoqo (gitar elektrik), dan Yayo (keyboard) akan mengeluarkan albumnya yang kedua dengan judul Tersenyum Lagi di bawah naungan Sony BMG Music Entertainment Indonesia. Qoqo merupakan anggota SHE yang paling bungsu, bukan hanya dari sisi usianya yang paling muda, namun ia juga merupakan anggota yang terakhir bergabung. Qoqo menggantikan posisi Kika yang terpaksa meninggalkan SHE karena telah menikah dan pindah ke Finlandia.

Album kedua ini memang terasa lebih kaya dari album SHE yang pertama. Dilihat dari nada-nada yang lebih berani, lirik yang lebih nakal, dan tema-tema yang menantang, SHE kali ini benar-benar all out dalam mengemas albumnya. Misalnya saja lagu Slow Down Baby yang berisi nasihat untuk tidak terburu-buru dalam menjalin cinta dikemas dengan gaya yang lucu dan jauh dari membosankan. Selingkuh Sekali Saja, dengan sedikit nakal ‘meminta izin’ pada pasangannya untuk berselingkuh sekali saja demi rasa penasarannya. Lagu Mana Tahan, bercerita tentang malunya menjadi korban perselingkuhan, namun tetap dengan gaya ceria dan dengan irama 80’s yang kental. Lagu Abrakadabra, menceritakan tentang sihir dan mantra yang seakan menguasai orang yang sedang jatuh cinta, berirama unik dan membuat pendengarnya ingin ikut bergoyang.

Dengan tetap mengusung aliran musik pop, nuansa rock di album ini terasa lebih kental dengan sound distortion dan permainan gitar yang dominan. Selain itu, SHE lebih berani dalam eksplorasi lagu, terbukti dengan keberanian mereka dalam mengaransemen sendiri beberapa lagu di album ini, salah satunya adalah single pertama mereka, Slow Down Baby.

Di album ini, SHE juga mendapat bantuan dari beberapa musisi, sebagai music director/arranger yaitu Ari Aru pada lagu Tercipta Untukmu, Baron pada lagu Abrakadabra, Indro pada lagu Jatuh dan Aku Tersenyum Lagi, serta Uchi Nurul dan Ray Jeffrin yang menjadi vocal director/arranger. Selain itu, di lagu Tercipta Untukmu, SHE juga berkolaborasi dengan Rio Febrian yang ikut melantunkan suara khasnya. Arina “Mocca” yang pernah menjadi vokalis SHE di tahun-tahun pertama, juga berpartisipasi dalam album ini dengan memberikan sebuah lagunya, yaitu Jatuh.
